Technology integration is the incorporation of technology into the classroom curriculum. To successfully incorporate technology into the classroom it should be a process of using a myriad of tools to enhance learning and be accessible to students and teachers. In order to ensure success, technology coaches and administrators should provide teachers with adequate training. In turn, students should also be instructed in using technology appropriately. In the classroom, teachers must first select technology that most benefits students and augments the learning environment. The technology chosen should then become an integral part of the instruction. The technology used should empower students to be active in the learning process and develop and use higher order thinking skills. It increases motivation while encouraging student participation in those who otherwise would not participate.
